We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21). It tells us who God is, who we are, and what our purpose is.
Our bottom line: We believe that a Christian is someone who is no better or more deserving than anyone else, but who has been rescued from sin and its consequences through Christ’s death and resurrection and the power and presence of the Holy Spirit dwelling within us. As God’s adopted sons and daughters, there is nothing we can do or add to our salvation. Knowing and being known by God in Christ is the meaning of life.
We believe that there is only one true God who is the eternal King, Creator, and Redeemer of all that is. He is perfectly holy, just, loving, and truthful. He has revealed Himself to be eternally self-existent — one being in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He was crucified for our sins, buried, resurrected, ascended into heaven, and is alive today in the presence of God the Father and in His people. He is true God and true man.
We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the sinfulness of human nature. Humanity was created in the image of God to know and enjoy Him, yet has willfully rejected the Lordship and glory of God, bringing sickness, death, and judgment into the world.
We believe that we are saved by God’s grace through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Anyone can be restored to a relationship with God through believing in Jesus. The Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, justifies, sanctifies, and adopts believers as they enter the kingdom of God.
We believe in the ongoing sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life and minister supernaturally.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: those who are saved unto the resurrection of life, and those who are lost unto the resurrection of condemnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe that the term marriage has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union as described in Scripture. We believe God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other.
We believe that God wonderfully foreordained and immutably created each person as either male or female, their biological and intended sex. These two distinct yet complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God.
